Mark also understands that there are many ways to achieve the same goal and that teachers will be using a range of schemes, assessment systems and classroom approaches. Each training course takes account if this and the general principles promoted can be applied to any school. For example, developing metacognition and the capacity to develop as independent thinkers and learners will feature prominently in every course, but teachers will be encouraged to apply this to their existing practice.
